The first victim of the Glamdring White Sword of Gandalf was the Great Goblin. The sword was known as the ‘Beater’ among other Orcs, who fled as soon as they recognized it. Gandalf used the Glamdring sword again in the Battle of Five Armies, however, it is uncertain if it was used for the Quest for Erebor. The Glamdring sword could be seen with Gandalf during the Fellowship of the Ring in T.A. 3018. It was also used in the Battle of Chamber of Mazarbul, and then again in the standoff with the Balrog. It is uncertain whether Gandalf used the Glamdring sword on the Endless Stair and Durin’s Tower in the Battle of the Peak between Gandalf and Balrog.
